Arctic Squares® Cryoboxes

Heathrow Arctic Squares Cryostorage Boxes safely store vials from –196 to 121°C for repeated use in mechanical freezers as well as liquid nitrogen. Polycarbonate boxes are designed with unique features to help the user orient, identify, and access vials with ease. The forward-sloped base and high-contrast, imprinted indexing on the transparent lid ensures quick visual orientation.

A hinged lid provides easy one-handed access to samples. A built-in stop prevents the lid from swinging too far when the box is picked up by the lid, helping to prevent accidental spills. The 5 x 5 array box does not have a hinged lid. All boxes include vent and drainage holes, are stackable, and come in brilliant gemstone colors. They are autoclavable.

5 x 5 Array Boxes are ideal for small sampling. They hold 25 vials. They have a friction fit and slide-on lid. 9 x 9 Array Standard Boxes hold tubes in an easy-to-pick formation. Popular array makes sample retrieval simple. They hold 81 vials, have a hinged lid and a picking tool. 9 x 9 Array Tall Boxes are designed for larger vials. Use with all common sizes up to 5.0 mL. They hold 81 vials and have a hinged lid.

10 x 10 Array Boxes hold the maximum number of tubes in standard footprint. They work best with internally-threaded vials or Heathrow's new space-saving, externally threaded vials. They hold 100 vials, have a hinged lid and a picking tool. Empty Boxes are ideal for storing various containers or a selection of different sized vials. They also have a hinged lid and picking tool. Microtube Boxes include a high-temperature melamine foam insert for use from –90 to 90°C. They hold 64 mictotubes and up to 2.0 mL. They have a hinged lid and picking tool. Foam is not recommended for use in liquid nitrogen.
