Eppendorf Microcentrifuge Models 5418/5418R are ultra-compact 18 place centrifuges that fit on even the smallest lab bench. About the size of a standard sheet of paper, they provide up to 16,873 x g (14,000 rpm) and offer a broad range of features that make lab work easier. The centrifuge is whisper quiet—even when running without the rotor lid—to improve all work environments.

They include an 18 x 1.5/2.0 mL capacity rotor with speeds up to 16,873 x g (14,000 rpm). They have a compact footprint that fits on crowded lab benches. The Eppendorf QuickLock® rotor lid closure offers fast and reliable lid locking. The OptiBowl® design allows for whisper quiet operation without rotor lid to reduce handling time.

Refrigerated Model 5418 R offers a temperature range from 0°C to 40°C. Its FastTemp function provides fast pre-cooling and maximum temperature accuracy inside the rotor. It maintains constant 4°C at maximum speed.

Its built-in condensation drain eliminates water accumulation and prevents corrosion. The ECO shut-off engages after eight hours of non-use to reduce energy consumption and extend compressor life. This can be de-activated if needed. The feature saves up to 40 percent in energy consumption.
